Friends have been remarking on how incredibly detailed the birds are in my new mini canvases. They really are so sweet, and I love the expressions on their little faces.
Most of these pieces involve an element of collage, either in the background or the foreground. This is a fun way to work because I am upcycling images from old books or old sheet music. It also enables me to keep the prices relatively low for such detailed work.
These mini paintings are carefully created, and each composition is unique. No two are exactly alike. And materials destined for a landfill are finding new life. Good for the planet, good for my collectors... it’s a win-win!
